You’d want to download YouTube videos directly to your Android smartphone or tablet, but you’re not sure how to do it. No problem, just use one of the many solutions suitable for the purpose and you can store all your favorite movies on the memory of your device (or on the microSD you have installed inside it) in a very simple way.
Install one of the apps I’m about to tell you about or use a third-party program that I’ll discuss later in the guide to learn how to download videos from YouTube on Android. But before you start, make sure your device has sufficient storage and that you are not connected to the mobile data network if you have a limited data plan. Otherwise, you run the danger of exceeding your monthly data allowance in a very short period and paying unexpected expenditures.
Clear? What would you say, then, to put the chatter aside and start getting busy? Yup? Great. Position yourself comfortably, take a few free minutes just for yourself and start following the instructions below. I am sure that, in the end, you will be able to say that you are very happy and satisfied with what you have learned, as well as, of course, that you have succeeded in your intent. Let it be?
Settings to install the third-party app to your Android Devices
As I had anticipated at the beginning of the article, you can download videos from YouTube with Android also using some third-party applications. If this interests you, below you will find those that, in my humble opinion, represent the best in the category.
However, keep in mind that the following apps are not available on the Play Store, but must be downloaded through the relevant official websites, after activating support for unknown sources on the device. On an Android 8.0 or higher smartphone, you need to go to Settings Apps and Notifications, tap on the item referring to the browser from which you plan to download the APK package, then tap on the term Install unknown apps, and then turn on the Allow from this source lever.
Unknown sources might be enabled if you are using an earlier version of Android (or Unknown sources). Press the OK button in response to any warnings that appear on your screen if necessary. Now you are ready to install the third-party app on your android device. Now you have to go to the Vidmate website and download the latest version of the Vidmate app. Once, the downloading gets complete, you can install it without any restrictions.
How to download videos using Vidmate?
In order to download any video from YouTube or any other video streaming platform, you have to put the link of the video in the search bar of Vidmate or alternatively, you can just use the search bar of Vidmate to find your favorite content you want to download. Once you find the desired video, a red download button will show up and further you can choose the format and quality of the video after clicking the download button. As simple as it sounds.
